day 1

I’m going to tell you the secret to my gratitude practice. Yep, on Day 1, I’m laying it all out on the table. I don’t even care if you use this one thing every day and you skip the rest of the gratitude themes. Fine by me. When I’m struggling to be thankful, I think “if everything I didn’t thank God for today, disappeared tomorrow, what would I be thankful for right now?” And suddenly the ideas start flowing: the air I breathe, my family, my house, clothes, food, flowers, trees…you get the point.

Day One

  1. Watch John Krasinski’s “Some Good News” episode 1 on Youtube. Might just be the best 15 minutes of your day. If you have already seen it, watch something else that makes you smile.
  2. If everything you didn’t thank God for today, disappeared tomorrow, what would you thank Him for right now? (I’ll get you started – the air you breathe…) Write down at least 3 things. Or 10 things. 
  3. Share at least one response with your group.
