I’m going to tell you the secret to my gratitude practice. Yep, on Day 1, I’m laying it all out on the table. I don’t even care if you use this one thing every day and you skip the rest of the gratitude themes. Fine by me. When I’m struggling to be thankful, I think “if everything I didn’t thank God for today, disappeared tomorrow, what would I be thankful for right now?” And suddenly the ideas start flowing: the air I breathe, my family, my house, clothes, food, flowers, trees…you get the point.
Day One
- Watch John Krasinski’s “Some Good News” episode 1 on Youtube. Might just be the best 15 minutes of your day. If you have already seen it, watch something else that makes you smile.
- If everything you didn’t thank God for today, disappeared tomorrow, what would you thank Him for right now? (I’ll get you started – the air you breathe…) Write down at least 3 things. Or 10 things.
- Share at least one response with your group.
